If you are using Plex as your media center (and probably others) you will know that it requires you to organise your TV Shows in a certain structure and that the files need to be named according to a set pattern. Doing all this manually can sometimes be a bit tedious and especially so when you downloads several episodes a day. TvTorrentButler will try and do all this for you to save you some time better spent watching the shows you have downloaded.

Before you can use TvTorrentButler you have to do some configuration. First enter the path to where you download your TV Shows and where you keep your Plex library. Optionally you can also specify a Incomplete Downloads folder and anything in there will be ignored. Once this is done you press the refresh button to find new TV Shows and they will appear in the table. TvTorrentButler tries to automatically fill in the information for each file, but it will get it wrong once in a while so make sure you double check. When it gets it wrong you can edit the information. When satisfied click the process button to move and rename files. Files that were successfully moved will be removed from TvTorrentButler and don't worry it wont try and move files that have incorrent episode and season fields.
I've updated the number of patterns used to detect Episode/Season information and I think I cover the basic ones now. S01E01, 1x01, 101 and a few other variants of them.
For a TV Show to be picked up at all by TvTorrentButler there has to be a folder with a matching name already in your Plex library. Season folders will be created automatically if necessary. Your Plex library should look along these lines:
If your Downloads folder contains TV Shows with House or Fringe in their name they will be picked up by TvTorrentButler, but no other files.
